Our Bow Wow Beach Club is essentially an indoor dog park for parents and puppies.  It includes the swimming pool as well as the adjoining indoor playground.  Both areas are used for playtime by our daycare and boarding dogs and, too cool for school, are available as well for parents and their puppies to come play together!

 

The very clean and climate controlled playground has the same rubber mat flooring as our daycare play areas.  This offers great cushion for joints and traction for dogs and people alike.   The playground is also equipped with ramps, stairs, tunnels, weave poles, broad and high jumps for play and agility style fun for parents and pups.

 

Why come to an indoor playground like this?  Well, lots of reasons!  Rain an cold come to mind . . . !  Also, unlike a dog park, our indoor playground is kept scooped and clean, the dogs have been tested for good "sandbox skills" and it is overseen by staff experienced in group dog management so that all play is safe and fun for the dogs.  We teach parents the essentials of good dog communication skills so that you are a well educated dog owner when it comes to social skills.  After all, we wrote the book!   

 

You may be wondering if your dog has to be an existing daycare dog here at Urban Tails to come to the Bow Wow Beach Club?  Absolutely not.  You can have a BWBC membership without being a daycare customer.  We evaluate new applicants 30 minutes prior to the opening of the dog park for its afternoon sessions.  Just call to schedule a phone interview and reserve your spot for the quick evaluation prior to play.  Dogs do need to have good social play skills and respond to their name, come, sit & stay by the 3rd request.

 

The Bow Wow Beach Club, which includes both the Pool and the Indoor Playground, are open to the public during time blocks set aside throughout the week.  Click here for a cheat sheet of public times.  Please check the calendar for closures due to private parties, hurricanes or high volume boarding needs.  Members of our training team, as well as customers that are experienced in training and safe dog play, host these events to facilitate lots of socializing, fun and games.  The Bow Wow Beach Club also has time slots set aside each week for private rental of the playground, the pool or both.  Give us a call to inquire about renting the facility for your pup's own private party.

 

Oh yes, did we mention the Tiki Coffee Lounge . . . ?  Yes, we do have a coffee bar as well for a refreshing cup of joe or tea while playing.  It would be rude not too . . . !

 

Purchase a 3, 6 or 12 month membership to the Bow Wow Beach Club to come play on the playground as much as you want during BWBC hours.  With a swim pass, your dog can pop on over to swim while here for playground time as well.  Small dogs swim on the hour, large dogs on the 1/2 hour.
